BREAKING: A hotel security guard and two housemates have contracted the virus.

The guard in his 20s worked at the Pan Pacific hotel. He developed symptoms on the 29th of April, and tested positive on the 30th of April, confirming positive this morning May 1.

2 of his housemates are also positive to Covid-19. All are being moved to hotel quarantine.

WA Premier Mark McGowan, in a snap press conference at 3pm local time Saturday, said there would not be another lockdown now, however this may change.

The Premier said because the spread happened under quarantine rules, the lockdown won’t be considered yet. This is more aligned to the model of other States, where people who came in contact are urged to get tested and quarantine, rather than an entire city.

These are the exposure locations as of writing:

If you were at one of the following locations below, during the specified times, you must get tested and complete the full 14 days of self-quarantine regardless of your test result. The 14-day period commences from the date and time of last potential exposure. If you have not yet been contacted by Public Health Operations please call 13 COVID (13 26843). Public Health Operations will provide guidance on testing and quarantine requirements.
