Breaking: Possible exposure locations have grown massively tonight, as another person tests positive.

A man in his 40’s who was at a restaurant in Kardinya Sunday returned a positive test today. There are concerns clusters may grow and the 3-day lockdown may be extended.

Suburbs from Joondalup to Canning Vale, Alexander Heights, Wangara and Morley have been added to the list.

WA Health says:

If you have been at any of the below locations at the times specified you need to attend a COVID clinic for testing and isolate at home until you receive a negative result.

Continue to monitor for symptoms for 14 days following your visit. If you experience any symptoms at any time – fever, coughing, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny nose, loss of smell or taste – go to a COVID clinic to be retested.

Freelance Journalist Brendan Foster:

A State of Emergency for WA has been extended to May 7th 2021. This doesn’t mean a lockdown has been extended, however shows government authorities are perhaps considering the possibility if more cases come in.
